  • I want to write a long long long entry, but my brain is too tired and I will end up writing things in circular logic. I'm just tired and shocked at the amount of pollution and corruption in the world, and I fear that America won't be such a great place to live in the future. I'm moving to France or New Zealand or Canada in the future if I can help it. Somewhere with enough people to call it civilization, but remote enough to retreat and become a hermit. I'll write the next Walden.

  • one more reason to watch Bionic Woman: Will Yun Lee.

I really liked him in Witchblade, so I was hoping he would get more visible roles later on... and here he is~~

  • I love these guys... It's been a long time since I've been into boy bands, but they're just too cute! Haha, well, I got hooked after seeing their live performances... they're very good live, and they have the same vibe as Click-B (not to mention the lead singer does look like Jong Hyuk, hehe). Their album is pretty good, for a bunch of 16, 17 year olds... so young o_O;; And they aren't so 느끼해 like the other boy groups like SuJu, DBSG, and SS501... bleh

Yeah, I was in denial for a month, but after going to Korea and listening to them everywhere, I just couldn't help it... *Sigh*

  • Busy much?

Yes, so busy and hectic that I just entered an entry without even writing anything.
These days, my days are PACKED UP THE WAZOO! I love that word, by the way. It rhymes with kazoo... haven't touched those things since elementary school... I remember that those were very annoying.

Um yeah, that was off topic. Anyways, I feel like so much has changed over the two weeks I was gone. It is strange how full and vivid life is once you go outside of the norm. Korea already seems like faded dream.

Mmm, so the highlights! Going to shop at Dong Dae Moon, for sure! I love how you just go there at random hours of the night and shop till you drop. I went at around 11PM and just haggled my way around until like 4 in the morning. And since I was indoors most of the time, I never felt the time pass. And the nightlife around there is pretty crazy (sometimes too crazy; my cousin and friends warned me of not so savory characters prowling around at night). But there's still tons of people around that late. That never happens in the States unless it's Mardi Gras or something (I don't know, just giving an example). BUT THE HAGGLING! It's like playing a psychological game of how low can you go before the seller gets mad, haha. It's pretty funny and at times annoying how the vendors try so hard to sell their stuff. But hey, they have to make a living, too. I also saw a celebrity, but I almost did not recognize her since she was so short and quiet... and no makeup, which is like a taboo for women in Korea... We'll discuss that later. If you've watched Coffee Prince, it's the lady who plays Gong Yoo's mom... She is pretty in real life, too. Just... short... But then again, I am a giant over there. You'd think 5'6" is average height... but over there, it's like I am walking on stilts. Good for me in crowded subways, though, since I can see where I am going. Oh, which also makes buying shoes difficult, because my size 8 feet is at the far end of the available shoe sizes. That was quite disappointing... so many cute shoes, but none my size!

Oh, the food~~~ Thankfully, my cousin knew a lot of good places to eat around Seoul, so I had good food everyday~ The desserts are like quite expensive, but worth every penny (or won?) I will probably post pics on facebook, haha. But MAN, I totally forgot about the mosquitoes! They are VICIOUS and HUGE. I can see the proboscis (however it's spelled) on those buggers. I had some hideous bites... *shudders*

I wish I can go back soon~ It was just so much fun, experience the life, the culture, and meeting new people there. AND THE SHOPPING. Did I mention how ridiculous the prices were for American brands? I was checking out Rocks and Diesels and my GOD. My eyebrows shot up to my forehead. But then again, they have a lot of rarer, hard to find jeans over there... but still, that does not justify the prices...

Anyways, I am typing this at work, because I have no other time to procrastinate on a computer. Our nursing professor told us to say good bye to our social life, let alone personal life... so yeah... It is going to be a longggggggg semester...

  • I'm off to korea in 4? 5? days and I have no idea what to expect... maybe monsoons...

But I'll be damned if I don't go shopping.

I just got the crap beat out of me right now. Yeah, my dad's friend, the chiropractor dude came to straighten out my skeleton again, and wow... I never thought my body could crack in so many different places. I swear my neck cracked in 20 different places when he cracked it for me. Sucks to have a bum shoulder. :(

I crave curry pan and koroke...

  • Time between Dog and Wolf...

...is so good~ I'm hooked. Lee Jun Ki is one foine guy~ I love this cast! *happy swoon*
Definitely recommend for a good serious action melodrama ^_^

oh, and for those who don't know the meaning of the time between dog and wolf, it's talking about the time when the sun sets very low so that one cannot distinguish between a dog, who is man's best friend, and a wolf, a rogue that attacks anything.

Gyah, I'm watching so many dramas lately...

    yummay~

Gosh I sound like a teenybopper... oh well~~

  • if you see me on xanga...

you know that I have some test coming up soon.
    STRESS!

So I shall share one of my random thoughts of the day:

Inchworms are curious creatures. They don't really crawl along the ground like the rest of the caterpiller (caterpillar? who knows) population. These guys bend themselves in half, and then promptly flattened themselves on the ground, and scooch their rear section forward to make themselves move. Now, if humans did that for exercise, imagine how much core exercise one would be getting. Picking yourself up from the ground using mainly your cores sounds like a killer way to get some tight abs, huh? Well, I was thinking of this at work, and then picturing myself doing that along the drab green carpet in the conference room... I was quite amused for awhile.

But in any case, I have a final and test that stakes my 70k entry-level future job, so I should go back to that... yeah...

  • Thanks to my ice skates, I have permanent blisters on my ankles.
Funny thing is, it's always in lines, so it's like a trail of blisters, all neatly positioned. As if there is a perforation line on my ankles, especially when it heals and dries up into scabs (ew).

mmm~ countdown to harry potter v and the book vii.

  • Car fairy?

So I got into a leeeetle fender bender on the weekend... when I heard the loud, crunching sound, I feared the worst, and ran out to see the damage... and the other car was totally fine. It had like two tiny scratches. Meanwhile, the corner of my bumper was mangled. It wasn't bad, but it was discomforting to see....

And then today! I come down to the parking garage after work, and my bumper is fine. The thing was dented and had the edge of the bumper sticking out before. But somehow, while I was at work, someone or something inverted the dent and put my bumper back into its normal shape.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a car fairy. This totally made my day! I would like to thank whoever or whatever it was that made my car look better

The month of June will be very busy for Anna. *sigh*
Someone remind me weekly to go to Lush and don't forget to order the discons. I have a feeling I will need a lot of Sore Labours Balm.
